Every year, the world discards more than 30% of all the food produced. If waste were a country, it would consume one-third of the worlds food, be the fourth highest producer of green house gases, and be the largest comsumer of irrigation water in the world. Nations and companies are becoming more aware of the problem everyday and taking action to correct it. Please click Here to visit the website of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to learn more about surplus food waste and what is being done to reverse it.
